TRADE FINANCE OFFICER

TRADE FINANCE OFFICER - BANKING. Ref.: T6/10194. A leading bank in the UAE is seeking to hire a Trade Finance Officer to join their dynamic team in Sharjah. Reporting directly to the Head of Trade Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of all transactions as per bank policy and procedure. You will have to process all types of transactions related to letters of credit, letters of guarantee, bill discount and trust receipts. You need to check documents for discrepancies and verify customers’ signature on their requests. You will also need to provide advisory services to customers on export LCs and ensure quality customer service. In addition to the role, you need to ensure processing of transactions are accurate and completed within the agreed turnaround time, escalate any unusual transactions immediately to the concerned supervisor and the Head of Trade Finance and Remittances and handle other jobs assigned by the department. To qualify for the role, you should have Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity in the banking industry. You should have strong knowledge on international rules and practices related to trade finance. Preference will be given to candidates with fluency in Arabic and English.
